Cartoon: The Military-Cultural Complex


  1. Could you explain this one?

    I get the connection between the top left and right, but the others seem disconnected somehow.

Hi - it's meant to assume the "traditional values" candidate is elected and helps push through said military contract for GE, whose entertainment division helps promote by pushing for a war - and broadcasting trash TV, which in turn motivates the "love thine enemy" crowd to vote for said "traditional values" candidate.
    It's not meant to be conspiratorial in any way, just "isn't this slice of mainstream and military culture interesting..."
